To insure your personal belongings in your home, visit the following insurance companies in Sweden: Trygghansa and Länsförsäkringar. The latter has a reception at Kungsgatan 2 (open 1000-1900 weekdays, 1000-1700 Saturday, 1200-1700 Sunday) where you can ask questions and sign up a contract. There should be other insurance companies out there, but these two are what I learned about after asking Swedes around.
Home insurance in Sweden comes with travel insurance (for some reason). As long as your travel is no longer than 45 days, your home insurance covers your medical fees abroad, for example.
